*this is the sound a fett throwing up in a toilet makes*

I have a date tonight. First date. Lord help me.

Also, this is Little 500 weekend in Bloomington. It's a bike race with an attached weekend of debauchery, as any major event in a college town would be expected to have. Not the best weekend to go out for dinner.

I plan on spending the rest of the weekend watching movies and/or weeping like a beaten puppy.

Luck be granted, friend of friends!

Try not to get run over.

Okay, once date night has come and gone...

DETAILS!! WE WANT DETAILS!!

(Good luck, BTW. First dates were always terrible for me - I was usually a ball of nerves before, during and after.)

I'm really good at last dates, though. Which is good, since most of my first dates were also last dates.

Of course I'll sleep with you, Taco. We've got a groovy thing going on, baby.

Anyways, not terribly much to tell. We went out, had a nice dinner. Talked for two hours. I did far too much talking, in fact my voice was a little sore afterwards. She seems very nice. She wants a second date. I'm going to call her up tonight. I don't know if there is much prospect for long term stuff, as she's made it perfectly clear she's going to nursing school (well, she is a nurse, but she wants to be an anesthesiologist) in a year or two. But I might as well give it a shot and see what happens.

She says she has trouble staying still watching movies though. That worries me.

Ugh, one of those. Up and down and in and out of the room all during the movie until you snap and then you're the bad guy.

As long as she doesn't cut in front of the screen, talk to you, or otherwise disturb you, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's when she starts wanting to disturb you that you want to punch someone.

Or maybe I'm just REALLY good at ignoring people when I want to. (Which is actually true.)

The big faux pas here is talking to me while I'm watching a movie. Or television. I'm not a "turn it on and ignore it" person. When I'm watching something, I watch it, and I get stabby^H^H^H^H^H^Hvery annoyed when I'm interrupted from it.
